There hasn’t been a lot of time for me to post on here; guess I spend too much of my spare time on Facebook. There is only so much spare time a person can rationalize or stay awake for. The men over at Cripplegate are doing a great job on many areas. I appreciated their thoughts in recent days. Also, Dr. John MacArthur has done some messages speaking to the issues of the day. That gives you a clue of how serious things are in this country politically as we get farther and farther from Scriptural principles.

For months I’ve been saying “Landslide” but didn’t write about it. In 2008, I also thought the American people would never elect a person with Obama’s full name in our then circumstances. I was wrong. He was elected, so I’m not feeling real confident in my prophecies. However, when I heard Michael Barone on Saturday say “Landslide”! I was fairly certain of my thinking too, because Barone is as knowledgeable about national elections on a local level as anyone.

About Obama, as far as I’m concerned his color is one of the best things about him, he has a nice family, and a great smile. He is very talented as a speaker, comedian, maybe even a singer, but his ideas about how to improve this country in a sustainable way leave a lot to be desired. He is also the most liberal president in our history and holds very unbiblical views on life and marriage. And tomorrow the American people will decide whether he finds a new home in January. I’ve heard they’ve found some pretty nice digs in Hawaii; don’t know if that is a sure thing but sounds like quite a mansion. And may they live happily ever after enjoying the sand and the surf. Though he is young enough I’m sure he’d make another run someday.

For Republicans in the 38th AD the Central Committee election on June 5, 2012 is very important.  The committee has become very divided since the 2010 election, at least.

My recommendation is to vote for those calling themselves the “Conservative Candidates” and pledging honesty and a new transparency to the local politics.  http://38thrcc.com/ is a website to tell you a little more about them.

There are 20 candidates running for this little known office. At least six of them will hopefully come from Albright, Atkins, Messina, Gregory, Varner, Basail, and Lampton or Haggard. That should bring the best result for the future of the area party. If it is important for some others to be on this committee then the legislators can choose them as their appointed representative on the committee.

It’s a rule isn’t it, that in the last month before an election the time goes twice as fast if you are a candidate or are working for a candidate? There are simply not enough hours in the days for all the work that could be done. Hence, the reason for so much fund raising in politics, which then gives the candidates the money for more ways to get their message out. But where do they get their money? That is a key issue in campaign finance, but that is for another day.

We are on the eve of an historic California election–and why is this one any different? Our vote will send the top two vote-getters, when just one will be eventually elected to an office, on to the general election in November. For the first time there will be some races in November with both candidates coming from the same party, or potentially, theoretically, from neither major party. Californians bought the line that a so-called “open primary” of this sort will be good for the state. Time will tell.

Happy New Year, 2012!

The year conservatives have been waiting for since November 2008. November 6, 2012 is the day that, Lord willing, we will elect a new president. I thought the odds would be against a new person being elected because of the advantage that incumbents hold and the liberal bias of the majority of TV news broadcasting. However, since 1900 only eight men have been elected twice, including F. Roosevelt being elected four times (’32, ’36, ’40, ’44 [died in this term] ) and Nixon elected twice but resigning in his second term. Ten men were elected only once as president.  The first vote of this year is Tuesday!

Kudos to Donald Trump for getting the president to release his birth certificate. And now we need college transcripts, too. At this point I’m not inclined to favor Trump for president, but he does know a lot about certain things. A few years ago, I happened to catch a radio program where he was expounding on some land/building issue that was a problem in either NY or D.C. Trump made more sense than all of the politicians that were involved in the issue and sounded extremely competent. Can’t make too many comments about his hair as I’m starting to wear mine that way and for the same reasons–I empathize!

UNESCO has done an outrageous thing and needs to hear about it. Under pressure from Arabs and Muslims they have taken extraordinary action to change history.  The http://www.jpost.com/International/Article.aspx?id=194834 reports on November 11, 2010:

“UNESCO’s action to remove Jewish landmarks from Israeli sovereignty has been a lightning- rod issue for the Israeli government, which rejects the designation of the two biblical sites – the Cave of the Patriarchs and Rachel’s Tomb – as part of the Palestinian territories. “  The historical burial places of Abraham and Rachel are a part of JEWISH heritage and need to remain with these designations.

This  action by UNESCO needs to be reversed, ASAP. As of this morning it had not been finalized, at least officially. I think the woman at the UN regretted the moment she let that slip. They, UNESCO, need to feel pressure from the US and others to rescind their unfortunate actions. You can do quite a few things to protest this outrageous action:
